Quran Memorization Online — Become Hafiz or Hafiza, One Verse at a Time

Updated 5 November 2026

Memorizing the Quran is one of the greatest goals a Muslim can set — and one of the most demanding. It takes patience, daily revision, and a teacher who knows how memory actually works. Our online Hifz program gives you exactly that: a live one-on-one tutor, a proven revision system, and a pace built around your life.

Every student gets a personal memorization plan: new lesson (Sabaq), recent revision (Sabqi), and old revision (Manzil) — the same system used in traditional madrasahs, delivered live online at times you choose. Kids, teens, and adults all memorize here. Try 3 free classes first.

  • Free 3-day trial · no credit card
  • Live 1-on-1 online classes
  • Qualified male & female tutors
  • 24/7 — every timezone

How memorization works — the Sabaq / Sabqi / Manzil system

Real memorization is 20% learning new verses and 80% revision. That's why every class follows the traditional three-part system. Sabaq is the new lesson — a small portion, recited to your tutor until it's perfect. Sabqi is the recent revision — the last few lessons, recited again so they stick. Manzil is the old revision — a portion of everything you've memorized before, kept fresh by regular rotation.

Without Manzil, memorization leaks away. With it, what you learn stays. Your tutor tracks all three every single class and adjusts the pace to you.

  • Sabaq — the new lesson, recited until perfect
  • Sabqi — the recent lessons, revised so they stick
  • Manzil — the old memorization, rotated so it never fades
  • Daily targets set to your ability — never forced
  • Progress tracked every class, shared with parents

How long does it take to memorize the whole Quran?

The honest answer: it depends on the student. With 5 classes a week and daily revision at home, a dedicated student typically memorizes the whole Quran in 2–3 years. With fewer classes, it takes longer — and that's fine. Many of our students memorize a few juz and keep going for years, which is a beautiful goal in itself.

There is no deadline and no race. Your tutor will give you an honest estimate after the free trial, based on your pace — and the plan adjusts as you go.

  • 5 classes a week + daily revision: typically 2–3 years for the whole Quran
  • 3 classes a week: slower, steady — perfect for school children
  • Many students aim for a few juz first, then continue
  • Revision never stops — Manzil keeps old portions strong

Who memorizes with us

Children as young as 7 or 8 begin Hifz once they can read fluently — many parents start with Qaida, then Nazra, then Hifz in the same academy with the same tutor. Teens memorize alongside school, usually after school or on weekends. Adults memorize at their own pace, often in the early morning or late evening. Sisters can request a female teacher.

Whatever your age, the method is the same: small daily portions, honest revision, and a tutor who celebrates every juz.

  • Kids: Hifz after fluent Nazra, usually from age 7–8
  • Teens: after school and weekends, around exams
  • Adults: early morning or evening, at your own pace
  • Female teachers (Qariahs) available for sisters and children

Frequently asked questions

What age can a child start memorizing the Quran?+

Most children start Hifz once they can read the Quran fluently (Nazra), usually from age 7–8. Younger children begin with Qaida and Nazra first, in the same academy with the same tutor.

How long does it take to become Hafiz?+

It depends on the student. With 5 classes a week and daily revision at home, a dedicated student typically memorizes the whole Quran in 2–3 years. With fewer classes it takes longer. Your tutor gives you an honest estimate after the free trial.

What is the Sabaq / Sabqi / Manzil system?+

The traditional memorization system: Sabaq is the new lesson, Sabqi is revision of recent lessons, and Manzil is rotation of everything memorized before, so nothing fades. Every class covers all three.

Can adults memorize the Quran online?+

Yes. Adults memorize at their own pace — early morning or evening classes — with the same system and a tutor who adjusts to your schedule and memory.

Can I choose a female teacher for Hifz?+

Yes. We have qualified female teachers (Qariahs), and sisters — and parents of daughters — can request one when booking.

What if my child forgets what they memorized?+

Forgetting is normal — that is exactly what Manzil (old revision) is for. Your tutor rotates old portions every week so memorization stays strong, and adjusts the pace if revision starts slipping.

What is the difference between the free 3-day trial and the free one-month Qaida course?+

The free 3-day trial is 3 real one-to-one lessons in any course — Qaida, Tajweed, Hifz, Tafseer or Arabic — so you can meet your tutor and try real lessons. The free one-month Qaida course is a full month of live one-to-one Qaida lessons for beginners, for the first 50 students only. They are two different offers: try 3 lessons, or take a whole free month of Qaida.

What are the fees for memorization classes?+

Plans are based on classes per week: 2 classes/week is $25/month, 3 classes/week is $35/month, 5 classes/week is $55/month. The 3-day trial is completely free. Sibling discount is 30% off. See our fees page for full details.
