Online Quran classes are live one-to-one lessons with a qualified Quran tutor, taught over a video call at a time you choose. Instead of travelling to a class at a fixed hour, you meet your tutor from home — your child after school, you after work — and every minute of the lesson is yours. This guide explains what online Quran classes are, how a class actually runs, what they cost, and how they compare with the local masjid.

At QuranHub, classes are taught by 10 qualified tutors — 5 male Qaris and 5 female Qariahs, all Tanzeem-ul-Madaris qualified with an M.A. in Arabic and Islamiyat. Plans run $25 to $55 a month for 2 to 5 classes a week, and the free 3-day trial gives you three real lessons before you pay anything.

The short answer

An online Quran class is a 30-minute private video lesson (20 to 30 minutes for ages 4 to 6) with the same qualified tutor every time. You choose the days and times; the tutor brings the lesson — Qaida, Nazra, Tajweed, or Hifz — at your level. It costs $25 a month for 2 classes a week, $35 a month for 3, or $55 a month for 5, with no registration fee. Start with the free 3-day trial and decide after three real lessons.

What online Quran classes are

An online Quran class is not a recorded video or an app that plays verses at you. It is a live lesson: your tutor listens to you read, corrects your pronunciation in the moment, and adjusts the pace to how you are doing that day. That live correction is the whole point — Tajweed cannot be learned from a recording, because a recording cannot hear you.

Classes cover the full path: Noorani Qaida for beginners, Nazra reading of the Quran, Tajweed rules applied in your reading, and Hifz memorisation with daily revision. Children, adults, and reverts all learn on the same path, at their own level and pace.

How a class works, step by step

Every class follows the same steady shape, so you always know what to expect.

  • Revision first: the tutor revisits the last lesson, so earlier learning stays fresh.
  • New lesson: a few lines of Qaida or Quran, read slowly together with correction as you go.
  • Reading back: you read the new part alone while the tutor listens and corrects.
  • Home practice: a small task for between lessons, usually 15 to 20 minutes a day.
  • Same tutor, same times: your tutor knows your level and your weak spots, and your slots stay yours.

Prices: $25, $35, or $55 a month

Starter: $25 a month for 2 classes a week — $3.13 per lesson. Regular: $35 a month for 3 classes a week — $2.92 per lesson, the most popular plan. Intensive: $55 a month for 5 classes a week — $2.75 per lesson. Every class is a private 30-minute one-to-one lesson, there is no registration fee, and you can pause or cancel any time. Tutor switching is free, any time.

Online classes vs the local masjid

The local masjid has real strengths — community, congregation, and a teacher your family may know. But its timetable is fixed, its classes are usually group classes, and many families live far from a qualified teacher. Here is how the two compare.

Classes in your time zone

QuranHub is an online academy, so classes run wherever you are — with scheduling in your local time. Families in the USA, UK, Canada, and Australia all learn with us, choosing morning, afternoon, evening, or weekend slots that fit school and work. There is no physical location to visit: your classroom is a video call, and your tutor is there at the hour you booked.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between online Quran classes and a Quran app?+

An app plays recordings; a class is live. Your tutor hears you read, corrects your pronunciation on the spot, and adjusts the lesson to your level. That live feedback is what turns reading into correct reading.

How much do online Quran classes cost?+

At QuranHub: $25 a month for 2 classes a week, $35 a month for 3 classes a week, or $55 a month for 5 classes a week — $3.13, $2.92, and $2.75 per lesson. No registration fee, and the first 3 days are free.

Are online Quran classes good for kids?+

Yes, when they are one-to-one and age-matched. Children aged 4 to 6 get shorter 20 to 30-minute sessions; ages 7 and up get full 30-minute lessons. Parents are welcome to sit in on children's classes.

Can I choose my class times?+

Yes — class time is whatever you choose. Morning, evening, or weekend slots are all available, and you can change them later if your schedule changes.

Is there a free trial?+

Yes — 3 days of real one-to-one lessons, no credit card. If it is not the right fit, you have lost nothing.
